The thick jumbo pencils are the pencils recommended for children up to 7-8 years.

In addition to the thickness, they are also triangular and provide the best hold when the smallest children start learning to write.

What is special about Faber-Castell pencils is their grip-dutter, which results in a better hold on the pencil.

The fingers do not slide and therefore you have to hold the pencil not so tightly when you write.
